When you volunteer with MS is BS New England, you’re joining a team dedicated to ensuring that 100% of public donations stay right here in New England, helping local individuals and families affected by Multiple Sclerosis. Whether you’re raising funds or creating engaging content, your time and talents will have a direct impact on someone who needs it most.

Fundraising Coordinator (Volunteer)

Help us raise funds that change lives.

MS is BS New England is looking for a passionate and organized Volunteer Fundraising Coordinator to help grow our impact across New England. Every dollar raised helps us provide grants and resources to individuals and families living with Multiple Sclerosis.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and coordinate fundraising campaigns throughout the year.

  • Identify and pursue sponsorship opportunities with local businesses.

  • Help organize fundraising events and community initiatives.

  • Assist with donor outreach and stewardship.

  • Work with our Board of Directors to brainstorm new fundraising ideas.

  • Track campaign progress and help ensure fundraising goals are met.

 

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Enjoys building relationships and engaging with the community.

  • Has strong communication and organizational skills.

  • Is creative, self-motivated, and dependable.

  • Has fundraising or nonprofit experience (preferred but not required).

  • Is passionate about making a difference for those living with MS.

 

Time Commitment:
Approximately 5–10 hours per month, with flexibility based on campaigns and events.

Social Media Content Creator (Volunteer)

Use your creativity to inspire hope and make an impact.

We’re seeking a creative Volunteer Social Media Content Creator to help tell the stories of MS is BS New England and the people we serve. Your work will help increase awareness, grow our online community, and inspire donations that directly support local individuals living with Multiple Sclerosis.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Create engaging graphics, videos, and social media posts.

  • Help develop a monthly content calendar.

  • Share stories of impact, fundraising campaigns, events, and volunteer opportunities.

  • Design posts for awareness months, holidays, and community events.

  • Stay up to date on social media trends and recommend new ideas.

  • Collaborate with our volunteer team to ensure content aligns with our mission.

 

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Is creative and enjoys graphic design, photography, or video editing.

  • Has experience with Canva, Adobe Express, or similar design tools.

  • Is familiar with Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn.

  • Has excellent writing and communication skills.

  • Wants to use their talents to make a meaningful difference.

 

Time Commitment:
Approximately 5–10 hours per month, with a flexible schedule.

Grant Writer (Volunteer)

Help us secure funding so we can provide more grants to individuals and families living with Multiple Sclerosis throughout New England.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Research grant opportunities from foundations, corporations, and government agencies.

  • Write compelling grant proposals and letters of inquiry.

  • Work with board members to gather program information, budgets, and supporting documentation.

  • Track application deadlines and reporting requirements.

  • Assist with grant follow-up reports and stewardship.

 

Desired Skills:

  • Strong writing and editing abilities.

  • Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.

  • Experience with grant writing or nonprofit fundraising is helpful but not required.

  • Passion for making a difference in the lives of people affected by MS.

 

Time Commitment:
Flexible, approximately 5–10 hours per month, with additional time during grant application periods.

 

Impact:
Every successful grant helps us provide financial assistance, home and vehicle modifications, mobility equipment, and other critical resources to people living with Multiple Sclerosis across New England.
