Doreen Gouveia
Treasurer
I’ve been lucky enough to call Joe and Josie Benassi lifelong friends, so when MS is BS needed a treasurer, I didn’t hesitate to raise my hand. Supporting them has always felt natural to me, and stepping into this role was simply an extension of that commitment.
I bring decades of organizational and operational experience to the work I do. I joined Seacoast Capital in 2014, and before that served as Office Manager for Seguin Partners, a private equity fund. I also spent several years as Office Manager and CSU Manager for the Communications Lending Division at State Street Bank. Those roles shaped how I approach structure, problem‑solving, and getting things done usually before anyone even asks.
Being a Mom of three grown children, I’ve always been someone who puts others first, and somehow still manages to squeeze more into a day than seems possible.
I’m deeply committed to making sure everyone living with MS has the chance to live a full, high‑quality life. If there’s a gap to fill or a task that needs doing, I’m on it!!
As treasurer, I’m the one sending out grant checks to the people who need them most, and I take that responsibility to heart. I don’t do this work for recognition; I do it because showing up matters. And I’ll keep showing up again and again with the same generosity and determination that this community deserves.
